Set out on a remarkable 4-Day Tanzania Safari, exploring three of the country’s most iconic parks. From the baobab-studded landscapes of Tarangire to the vast Serengeti plains and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, this itinerary offers exceptional wildlife encounters, dramatic scenery and an immersive camping experience in the heart of nature.
Day 1 – Tarangire National Park
Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in or around Arusha. After a scenic 2.5-hour drive, you will arrive at Tarangire National Park, located 115 km south of Arusha. This long, narrow park stretches along the Tarangire River and covers 2,850 km². Known for its impressive baobab trees and large herds of elephants, Tarangire offers excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year.
Accommodation: Africa Safari Lake Manyara (Safari Tent).
Day 2 – Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart Tarangire with a picnic lunch and enjoy an en-route game drive as you make your way towards the Serengeti. An afternoon game drive follows upon entering the park, giving you the chance to spot wildlife as you cross into the world-famous Serengeti plains.
Accommodation: Budget Camping.
Day 3 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
In the morning, enjoy a game drive in the Serengeti, renowned for its predators including lions, cheetahs and leopards. After lunch (picnic boxes provided), continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with wildlife viewing opportunities along the way.

Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater with picnic lunch boxes for a full morning of game viewing. The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five, and is one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the endangered black rhino. After an unforgettable experience on the crater floor, ascend the crater walls and drive back to Arusha, where your safari concludes.
