4-Day Tanzania Safari: Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater Adventure

Day 1 – Lake Manyara National Park

You will be collected from your hotel at 8:00am to begin a scenic drive across the Great Rift Valley for a full-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Despite its compact size (205 sq miles), the park is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, lush acacia woodlands, giant fig and mahogany trees, and its thriving populations of baboons and blue monkeys.
Giraffes, elephants, impalas and large herds of buffalo are resident throughout the park, while the lake itself hosts numerous hippos.

Day 2 – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Although the drive is long, the changing landscapes and vast wilderness make the journey spectacular. As you approach the heart of the Serengeti, you will understand why its name means “endless plains” in the local language.

Day 3 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, a park celebrated for its predators including cheetahs, lions and leopards. With packed lunches, continue your journey with an en-route wildlife viewing drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater

The day begins early with a descent onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor, one of the most extraordinary wildlife destinations on Earth. Enjoy a remarkable morning game drive, followed by a picnic lunch beside the picturesque Hippo Lake. After a final short game drive, ascend the crater wall and continue your journey back to Arusha.
