Your adventure begins with a morning transfer from your hotel in Mombasa or Nairobi to the airport for your scheduled flight to Lamu. As you arrive at Manda Airstrip, enjoy a scenic boat transfer to Lamu Palace Hotel, located along the picturesque Lamu seafront.
Lamu’s timeless appeal is deeply rooted in its unique Swahili culture, shaped by centuries of Bantu and Arab influence. This peaceful, predominantly Islamic island has preserved its authentic way of life—donkeys remain the main mode of transport and only one motor vehicle exists, belonging to the District Officer.

After checking into the Lamu Palace Hotel, savor a fresh seafood lunch. Spend the afternoon exploring Lamu Town, visiting historical sites, strolling along the waterfront, or relaxing at the hotel.
