Full Safari

Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park
Your safari begins early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel or residence in Mombasa, Diani, Watamu or Malindi. You drive inland toward Tsavo East National Park, entering through Bachuma Gate as the vast, open plains unfold before you. Wildlife sightings begin almost immediately, and your first game drive takes you in search of the parkโ€™s famous red elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and, with a bit of luck, lions relaxing under acacia trees. You arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, followed by a short rest. In the afternoon, you head out again for an extended game drive, exploring different sections of the park as the heat of the day subsides and animals become more active. The first day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge, surrounded by the peace and sounds of the wild.

Day 2: Tsavo East to Taita Hills Sanctuary (Salt Lick Lodge)
After an early breakfast, you depart Tsavo East with a final game drive on your way out of the park. The journey continues to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a private reserve known for its excellent wildlife viewing and the iconic Salt Lick Lodge. You arrive in time for lunch, then settle into your elevated room overlooking the waterholes, where animals gather throughout the day. In the afternoon, you embark on a game drive within the sanctuary, exploring its rolling hills and open plains that host elephants, antelopes, big cats and a rich variety of birds. As evening falls, you return to Salt Lick Lodge where wildlife can be observed directly from the lodgeโ€™s viewing decks and underground hides. Dinner and overnight are spent in this unique setting, offering one of Kenyaโ€™s most memorable safari experiences.

Day 3: Salt Lick to Amboseli National Park
The day begins with an early morning game drive in the sanctuary, taking advantage of the cool hours when animals are most active. After returning for breakfast, you check out and begin your journey toward Amboseli National Park. The scenic drive passes rural landscapes, local homesteads and views of the vast plains leading toward Mount Kilimanjaro. You enter Amboseli in time for an afternoon game drive, immediately encountering the parkโ€™s famous large elephant families, grazing herds, and the breathtaking backdrop of Africaโ€™s highest mountain. You explore Amboseliโ€™s swamps, open grasslands, and observation points before heading to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, with stunning views of the surrounding wilderness.

Day 4: Amboseli Morning Game Drive and Return to Mombasa
Your final day begins at sunrise with a game drive to catch the early morning light on Mount Kilimanjaroโ€”weather permittingโ€”and to see predators and grazing animals during their most active hours. After enjoying Amboseliโ€™s rich wildlife one last time, you return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out. A relaxed drive follows as you head back toward the coast, passing through scenic countryside and stopping for lunch along the way. You arrive back in Mombasa or your coastal destination in the afternoon, marking the end of a diverse, rewarding and unforgettable four-day safari experience.
