Tanzania Safari
budget safari: Budget Safari
Experience the ultimate 4-Day Tanzania Safari, journeying through some of the most iconic wildlife parks in East Africa. From Tarangire’s towering baobabs and elephant herds to the endless plains of the Serengeti and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, this itinerary delivers unforgettable wildlife encounters and diverse landscapes, all while staying in well-selected safari lodges and camps.
Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in or around Arusha. After a scenic 2.5-hour drive through picturesque landscapes, you will arrive at Tarangire National Park (or Lake Manyara, depending on conditions).
Tarangire lies 115 km south of Arusha and spans 2,850 km². Long and narrow, the park follows the Tarangire River and is well known for its towering baobab trees, vast elephant herds and rich birdlife.
Accommodation: Africa Safari Lake Manyara (Safari Tent).
After breakfast, continue your journey towards the legendary Serengeti. The Serengeti is renowned for its sweeping savannah plains and varied woodland landscapes, covering around 30,000 km² across northern Tanzania and southern Kenya—80% of which lies within Tanzania.
The park is world-famous for the Great Migration, where 1.5 million wildebeest, accompanied by zebras and gazelles, move in a continuous cycle followed by thousands of predators.
Accommodation: Africa Safari Serengeti Central.
Spend the morning exploring the Serengeti, with excellent chances of encountering lions, cheetahs, leopards and other iconic wildlife. In the afternoon, begin your journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
You will stay at Rhino Lodge, located just a few hundred metres from the crater rim—perfect for an early descent the following day.
Accommodation: Rhino Lodge.
Today you will descend into the majestic Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. The crater spans around 20 km in diameter, with walls rising 600 metres high, and is recognised as the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. It is home to an estimated 30,000 large mammals, including the Big Five and the endangered black rhino.
Sadly, this marks the final day of your safari with Kenya Tru Nomads Tours. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for optional activities in Arusha at your own expense before your departure.
